FAMILY/STAFF PICNIC

In the back of the school **DJ** Food tickets will be sold for $1.00 a piece 5pm - 7pm Dear Arrowhead Families,
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for a wonderful year! This year marked the start of "Community Unity", a district wide program to show our Patriot Pride. Arrowhead won first place for the best "Community Unity" banner this year at Homecoming and we hope to continue that tradition this coming fall. Arrowhead was on board with this new program from day one, and many students and staff are now wearing their Arrowhead Patriot Pride spiritwear. Don't worry if you missed the sale. We will have another sale of new spiritwear this September!
Our fundraising efforts were very successful this year. With monies earned, we were able to have many great programs and assemblies like the "Build a Bench" program, Author Rick Riordan, the Lazer Light show and many more.
Look for some new and exciting programs and events for next year, like our participation in National PTA's Reflections program (2009 theme is "Beauty is....."), and our Gingerbread University family night in December. Plans are already underway for our 3rd annual Harvest Fesitival this Fall.
I'd like to congratulate the 6th graders on all their achievements this year and to wish them a great journey to Murphy!
I want to take this time to say good bye to 3 very important people who are leaving the PTA board this year. Valerie Wolcott, Patti Keane and Lisa Pryor have put in many years of dedicated service to the board. They have been both an asset to the PTA and a tremendous help to me this year. I cannot thank them enough! I would also like to welcome 3 new board members----Linda Maloney, Barbara Gallagher and Chrissi Randall were all voted in at our last PTA meeting. I look forward to working with them next year.
I hope to see everyone at our last PTA event of the year---the Family/Staff Picnic on Friday 6/12! I wish everyone a safe and happy summer. I encourage you to join the PTA in September and to come to our monthly PTA meetings!
